Areola and Paramedical Tattooing

What is Medical Tattooing and how does it benefit our clients?

Medical tattooing improves one’s quality of life by addressing problems that arise from illness such as cancer, surgery, accidents, birth defects, hair loss, cleft lip and scars including from self harm. Unfortunately, many people who want to remedy these problems or make them less noticeable were unaware that something could be done until now. Skin Camouflage lessens the appearance of scars from cosmetic surgical scarring (breast reduction, face lifts), burns or accidents. Scalp Tattooing / Hair Follicle Replication lessens the appearance of scars on the scalp and is a great solution for men or women who experience hair loss or suffer from thinning hair or are completely bald.

What is Areola Restoration Tattoo?

Areola Restoration/3D Nipple Tattooing

When a Nipple Sparing Mastectomy is not an option, or if there is an augmentation afterwards, the newly reconstructed breast may be finished off with a 3D Nipple Tattoo. 3D Nipple Tattooing is a method that may be used to create an image of a nipple on the skin with dimensional shading within the pigment of the tattoo ink.

Areola Restoration can help to restore the size, shape, and color of the areola around the nipple in a process similar to the 3D Nipple Tattoo. Areola restoration is also an option for those who want a more defined border or those who have noticed and want to correct fading or uneven tone.

3D Nipple image application is appropriate for women who wish to have a finishing touch applied to their breast reconstruction but prefer not to have a physical reality within the nipple color. For those who want an added physical reality to the restored nipple, 4D Nipple Restoration provides both dimensional coloration and a realism that comes with a subtle and carefully designed nipple prominence within the depth of the visual color restoration.

How Long Do They Last?

Areola Restoration is a permanent procedure, however, may need touched up initially after 4-6 weeks of healing time. Over time when fading occurs, which happens naturally with these types of services, one may choose to have them retouched.

How long will a medical tattoo last?

Scar coverage may take several sessions to achieve desired results and will need regular touch up appointments. All scars must be fully healed (minimum 1 Year) before tattooing can be attempted. Consultations are required.

What is Skin Camouflage / Scar Color?

Skin color loss (de-pigmentation) can occur for many reasons such as trauma from burns or accidents as well as self harm, scars left from any type of surgery or different types of skin diseases. Skin camouflage tattooing can correct or improve the appearance of many types of scars and skin abnormalities. Skin Camouflage Medical tattooing can correct these scars to make them less noticeable. We can only darken scars we cannot lighten them.
